Matriculating Student Questionnaire (MSQ)
The Matriculating Student Questionnaire (MSQ) is administered each
year by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) to all
first year medical students.
The Web-based questionnaire asks first year medical students to
share their thoughts on a variety of topics, such as:
- Premed experience
- Opinions about the medical school application process
- Reasons for choosing medical school
- Future career goals
Student responses to the MSQ are analyzed and then reported, in
aggregrate, to each participating medical school. This feedback
helps medical schools fine-tune their educational programs to fit
the needs of their students.
2008 MSQ
The 2008 MSQ is scheduled to open Tuesday,
July 1, 2008. Medical schools are encouraged to inform
their entering students of this date. Authorized medical school
staff should e-mail MSQ staff to update their list of MSQ contacts
and MSQ Tools users for their school.
2007 Reports and Data
The 2007 MSQ Reports for each medical school are available via
MSQ Tools.
The national 2007 MSQ All Schools Summary Report is also available
